Tokyo has many hidden gems, you just have to explore off the beaten path and here is another hidden area Japan travel guide to add to the Tokyo Hidden Spots series :) Okutama (奥多摩) is a mountainous region located along the Tama River, in the far west of Tokyo. It takes under 2 hours by train to get to Okutama Station from central Tokyo so it makes a perfect day trip from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Okutama offers a wide range of things to do like hiking, camping, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. It also offers beautiful scenery and Japanese onsen (hot springs) where you can relax. Places I went in order: Okutama Station Lake Okutama Mugiyama Floating Bridge Moeginoyu Onsen Hot Springs Hatonosu Kamameshi Restaurant Join me on Patreon for bonus videos, live streams...

But a beautiful place called, Okutama which is still considered Tokyo has such beautiful valley's and waterfall's, and hiking trails that I had to go! This waterfall is quite a popular waterfall, with three different falls and their corresponding pools. The water is so clear (no plants or fish) and it's deep enough for swimming, it is beautiful! The next waterfall I hike to is more difficult, and I'll show it in the next video. Do you have any good nature spots around Tokyo? Let me know below! Thanks so much for watching and don't forget to check ou...
Welcome to the View from Above! A series where we take you on a Journey to some of the most beautiful places on earth! Japan is the furthest point in what was called the ‘Far East’ by Imperial Europe, and is perhaps the most categorical in that respect. It may come as a culture-shock for some; the deep, in-grown, ancient traditions, taboos, customs and norms of the Japanese people. But those same customs and norms, so obsessed with perfection, are incredibly beautiful, complementing the natural beauty of the Japanese landscape. Travel with View from Above to Tokyo’s metropolitan skyline, Kyoto’s shrines and temples, Fuji’s iconic cliffs, and the elegant pagodas and toris of the Japanese countryside. Captured by DJI unmanned recreational drones, enjoy some unique and incredible shots of t...

Almost an hour away by car from Tokyo Center, Mitake is a small village resting on the banks of the Tama River. Quiet and peaceful all year long, Mitake and it's gorgeous gorges turn during the month of November into a perfect postcard of what Japanese autumn colors are all about due to its many gingko and maple trees with their vivid golden and red leaves. Okutama, just 2 hours west of central Tokyo, is a great place to enjoy some outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, climbing, Onsen etc. We were a bit in a hurry (since the trains in Tokyo had some delay) so we couldn't do as much as planned. We visited Lake Okutama and the Nippara Limestone Cave. I would highly recommend to plan maybe two days in Okutama or get there by (rental) car so you can reach the various activities more efficiently than by bus. Rain Sounds in Tokyo - Recorded on a cold night in Tokyo, this video combine the ambient city sounds with rain. If you listen clearly you would here the distant cars and trucks passing by. Added to that is the rain pelting against the pavement. This video is perfect for that sleepless night or that unfocused studying session. Kamakura is typically everyone's go-to day trip from Tokyo, mostly for it's big buddha statue and historical temples. Well, if you want to avoid this crowded tourist trap and go off the beaten path, then you can go to Nokogiriyama, Tyler's favorite "power spot" in Chiba Prefecture. Tyler and his friends go to this great hidden spot to play a live show and discover what makes Nokogiriyama so special. This is a really unique mountain range in Japan, notable for it's "view of hell", its Kannon statue, and the largest stone buddha in Japan. But what makes Nokogiriyama a perfect travel spot from Tokyo is that it's not very well-known even among Japanese people, so the normal hustle and bustle of Tokyo tourists is very minimal. If you have traveled in Tokyo or Japan before, then you probably...

Here's another video part of the Tokyo Hidden Spots series and this time we explore Futakotamagawa aka niko tama. It's one of my most favourite places in Tokyo because it has everything here from shopping to nature! Depending on your mood or the weather, it has everything to suit for the situation. :) Futakotamagawa is a pretty high scaled residential area minutes away from Central Tokyo, however pass the high rise buildings you will find the Futakotamagawa Shotengai "Shopping Street". This shopping street is where the locals go shopping for their daily needs and there are also many popular restaurants here like the one I went to. Futakotamagawa is also nearby the river side, so you can relax and enjoy the nature here too. It's a quiet park unlike many of the crowded parks in centra...

Today we saw a huge snake in the middle of Tokyo! We visited the Institute for Nature Study in Meguro, which is a green forest in the middle of the city. After hiking around, we walked to Ebisu to have lunch at Yebisu Garden Place at Maison ICHI. We also went to the 38th floor to have an amazing view of Tokyo. On our way home we passed by Akihabara Electric Town and mAAch ecute - Kanda Manseibashi, and picked up some delicious cheese cake from Pablo mini, and coffee at Leaves Coffee in Kuramae.
Another bunch of tourist commercials that you can see on euronews. I'm not owner of this video.
